SVDMSTUDIO JOINS HOUTBAY GALLERY

Since his first piece of art went on display in a local gallery, Schalk van der Merwe has been driven to grow and constantly evolve as an artist. This meant getting his work into some of the top galleries in South Africa.

As an emerging artist, Schalk has had great success in selling his visceral portraits. From Cape Town to Johannesburg and a far abroad as Northern Irelnad, his work has been embraced by art collectors.

Based in Hout Bay, Cape Town, it was the logical next step to team up with the well respected Hout bay Gallery. Many great and established artists have had their work on display at this Hout Bay institution.

Schalk's bold portraits will be on display from the middle of December 2014.
